BOARD OF SELECTMEN ' MINUTES MONDAY DECEMBER 75 1987 Regular Session Present : Selectmen Thomas , Carter , Gottlieb , Lawrence and Hanson , and ExeCut1ve Secretary, Joseph F . Murphy Guests : Janice Mills , Mr . & Mrs . BYethen , Ernie Virgilio , Richard Halpern , Joyce Howell , Mr . & Mrs . Jordan , Sue Billings , Mr , Byrne- s ,, Katherine Conroy , and Denise Sullivan Selectman Thomas convened the meeting at 7 p .m . She also - pointed out that the Board would recess at 7o30 p .m , to meet with Cape Cod Planning and Economic Development Commission in the cafeteria , J11 U UTFas Selectman Gottlieb moved to accept the October 18 , 1987 emergency meeting ; October 18 , 1987 joint meeting with the Finance Committee and the December 1 , 1987 regular meeting with two amendments . The first amendment was Mr . Gottlieb made the motion not Mr . Lawrence and the � second was the meeting was at 8 a "m " not 8 p .m . Selectman Carter seconded the mot ion . All were in f avor , APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS | ' 7x00 - Selectmen conducted their annual liquor license | renewal hearing , ! Several licensees were in attendance and expressed | concern over the increase in license fees . Selectman Carter would like to set a policy that ' the Board ho1 ds a pub l ic hearing before any fees are increased . The Board took this recommendation under advisement . Mr . Murphy will put together a list of fees . 7 :32 - The Board moved to the cafeteria to meet with the Cape Cod Planning and Economic Development Commission to discuss the Cape Cod Commission Act proposal to interested town officials and the public . Members of ' the Blue Ribbon Panel included Dave Humphrey , Commissioner O'Leary and Armando Carbonell . 8x00 Selectmen conducted a public hearing on recommenda- tions made by the Shellfish Commission to close the Little River and the South East end of Great River to commercial quahogg 1 ng % and open Popponesset | | , .
