1' <br /> BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, DECEMBER 28t 19$7 Regular Session <br /> Page 3 . <br /> NEW BU TN5 continued) <br /> The Board reviewed a communication from Town Counsel relative <br /> to Richard M. Cushner vs . Bafaro and the Zoning Board of Appeals . <br /> Town Counsel asked the Board to consider referring this ratter <br /> to Attorney Frank Duffy as he once performed legal services <br /> for Alfred Bafaro and could be looked at as an impropriety. <br /> Selectmen agreed to refer this ratter to Attorney Frank Duffy. <br /> Selectmen were asked to authorize the chairman of the Board <br /> to execute ars application for a $2 , 545 grant from the State <br /> for the Council on Aging. <br /> Selectman o t t l i e moved to authorize the Chairman to execute <br /> the application. Selectman Carter seconded the motion. All <br /> were in favor . <br /> Selectmen were scheduled to appoint a full-tune police office. <br /> Mr . Murphy advised that Deputy chief of Police Cooper asked <br /> i <br /> that this matter be deferred. <br /> Selectman Thomas asked for further information as to why the <br /> top candidate was not being recommended for this position. <br /> Being no further business Selectman Gottlieb moved to go into <br /> executive session to discuss pending litigation, lard trans- <br /> actions and negotiations with a department head.
