Management Consultants <br /> gave a presentation of her firm' s findings relative to a consolidated <br /> municipal Human Services offices for the Town of Mashpee. <br /> S . Thornton first explained the Human Services ystem the role played <br /> by the federal government, the State, the County, municlipal <br /> departments, rov i der agencies , philantrhopic organizations and <br /> advocate groups in the Human Services sre . <br /> She also explained the types of services that should be available <br /> throucih the Human Services System, i .e# , services for infants hr h <br /> the elderly, SeryiCes for groups as well as individuals , here should <br /> be special events , services for acute and chronic needs . There i <br /> also a need for services for children arced 11-14, <br /> The three d i i S i ons proposed would be Leisure & Youth Services which <br /> would evolve from the Community School and Recreation Offices, Council <br /> on Aging which would remain as is and Personal Health Services which <br /> would evolve from that portion of the Board of Health that delivers <br /> personal health erviCe * Ms, Thornton went on to recommend a Human <br /> Services Cabinet to consist of the Fire Department, Human Services , <br /> Library,, Poli e Det ar men t# Planning and Schools . <br /> The positions to be Created would be a Human Services D i rector g a <br /> Leisure & Youths Set-vices Coordinator and a Beach Superintendent . <br />
