Murphy <br /> GUESTS: Morris Kirsner and South Cape Beach State Park Advisory <br /> Committee Members, Chief Ridgeway, Ernie Virgilio <br /> The meeting convened at # 0 p.m. <br /> MINUTES <br /> The Board voters unanimously to accept the Regular and Executive <br /> Session Minutes of February , 1989 and the Minutes of the <br /> Budget Priority Meeting of February 1 , 1989. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 11 Morris Kir ner attended to bring to the Board's attention <br /> the South Cape Beach State Park Advisory C mmitteeo <br /> thoughts relative to the environmental impact report <br /> presented by the Department of Environmental Mana ement. <br /> Town Beach Parking Lot - removed from waterfront and once it <br /> has been relocated it will not be possible to view the water <br /> from a car. Suggestions have been presented to DEN and <br /> representatives will comment at a meeting to be held this <br /> eveneing after this appointment. <br /> Visitor's Center - Plans have been reduced to 2500 feet - <br /> eneral consensus is that there should be an auditorium with <br /> a library to possibly house the history of iashpee. The <br /> committee feels that the plans shou1d be expanded to 3500 <br /> feet. <br /> Bicycle Path - The plan is for a bicycle path (eight feet <br /> wide) to be within the Park, The Committee o 1 d like t <br /> see a bicycle path begin at the rotary to Great Oak Road and <br /> into the Park. This will also be presented to DEM. <br /> Farb capacity - The committee will again request a <br /> scientific study on Park capacity from DEM. <br /> Hunting - Environmental Impact report states that hunting is <br /> an established activity - however, thi5 i5 not Permitted <br /> under Iashpee by-laws. This should be changed in the Report, <br />
