THU sDA's J U ! 1989 <br /> PRESENT: Selectmen Gott 1 i b f Carter, Hanson, Lawrence andJacobson <br /> GUESTS: Morris Kirsner, Katherine Conroy <br /> The meeting converged at 7:00 p.m. <br /> 1 . her. Gottlieb informed the Board that he was unable to <br /> obtain the signed Land Management Agreement for the Mashpee <br /> Pond Boat Landing from the State. The Town cannot charge <br /> fees until the agreement has been s i greed. <br /> Mr. Lawrence moved to initiate contract services with the <br /> security service. Mrs, Jacobson seconded the motion. Mr, <br /> Gottlieb was in favor and Mr. Hansen abstained. Mr. Carter <br /> was not present for the vote. <br /> Morris Kirsner of the Booth Cape Beach State Park Advisory <br /> Commission attended to discuss recent decisions of the <br /> Board to take a more active role in pursuit of resolution <br /> of the location of the Town Beach and the improvements provement of <br /> Great Oak Road. <br /> Mr. Kirsner stated that the Committee was displeased with <br /> the vote for the Board to become involved in the <br /> improvements to Great Oak Road since they had spent a great <br /> deal of time working on this issue up until this point. <br /> The Committee is opposed to the proposed parking area for <br /> the Town Beach. The Committee responded to DEM Stating <br /> that the plans for the parking area were unacceptable, Mr. <br /> Kirsner informed the Board that this has been a matter of <br /> constant discussion with DEM, <br /> Mr. Kirsner stated that the Committee wants to work with <br /> the Board of Selectmen to accomplish a clear cut end result <br /> with exclusive priority to Great Oak Road and the new Town <br /> Beach and asked that the Committee not be deprived of that <br /> opportunity. <br /> Mr. Danson moved to take comments presented under <br /> advisement in order for the Board to discuss among <br /> themselves and respond back the south Cape Beach State Park <br />
