i <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, JULY 10, 1989 <br /> PAGE FOUR <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> # (Cont, ) <br /> Mrs. Jacobson moved to allow the School Building Roof <br /> Committee to authorize emergency transfers within th e <br /> contingency fund. Mr . Hanson seconded the motion. All <br /> were in favor. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 11 The Board discussed a memo from Mr, Murphy relative to <br /> appointments. The Board had declared that motions fa i 1 ed <br /> to pass relative to the appointment of Patrick Coffer t <br /> the Conservation Commission and Robert Sullivan to the <br /> Personnel Board. Mr. Murphy stated that in his opinion, <br /> the motions d I d pass,, In that a quorum of the Board was <br /> present and a majority of those voting did cast votes in <br /> the affirmative. <br /> As a result, the votes taken on June 26, 1989 for the above <br /> two reappointments were valid and there is no need for a <br /> re-vote. <br /> 2 . The Board agreed to defer action for one week relative to <br /> two letters of interest to serve on School B Ilci <br /> Committee from David Terry and to serve on the Town Hall <br /> Building Committee from Alec Watt. <br /> Mrs. Jacobson roved that the Board of Selectmenco-sponsor <br /> articles submitted by the Board of Health relative to <br /> unlawful dumpIn for a November Special Town Meeting,, Mr. <br /> Carter seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br />
