Hanlon explained that the reasons for the budget <br /> overrun were the need for the sprinkler system at the <br /> Transfer Station. There was more refuge located at the <br /> site than originally thought , therefore, design <br /> modifications were necessary to the roadway system. The <br /> 1 artiest item was the preparation of the bidding documents <br /> for the operating contract of the landfill . <br /> Mr. Hanlon agreed to submit a Contract amendment for the <br /> ddtionl costs , <br /> 3 , Catherine Conr oy t President of the Friends of the Mashpee <br /> Council on Aging attended to discuss with the Board the <br /> status and future of the present senior Center on Great <br /> Neck Load North, Mrs . Conroy indicated that funds had been <br /> raised for the expansion of the current Center, but she had <br /> been informed of the possibility of a new location for the <br /> Center. <br /> 1r. Hanson stated that the potential new site located near <br /> the Police Department and adjacent to the primary care <br /> Center being built was simply suggestion made to the <br /> Council on Aging for their consideration. <br /> Mr. Lawrence stated that this matter was not before the <br /> Selectmen at this point and that it should be discussed <br /> between the Counei1 on Aging and the Friends of the Council <br /> on Aging. <br /> Mr. Lawrence suggested that Mr. Danson worm to get the two <br /> groups (Friends of the Council and the Council on Aging) <br /> together to work toward a resolution. <br /> . 1 Ernie Virgilio attended to discuss with the Board <br /> development of an area that is not a road, but e field <br /> Shorewood Court) . Mr. V i ra i 1 i o stated that he sou 1 d not <br /> send his Vehicles into the area to plow an abandoned field. <br />
