Mrs. Jacobson moved to <br /> forward the letter to Curtis Hendricks to respond to his <br /> questions raised in Jul . Mr. Lawrence seconded the <br /> motion. All were in favor. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1 . The Beard discussed a memo from Chief Ridgeway relative to <br /> the revised operational guidelIne for Popponesset Island, <br /> Mr. Hanson stated that lot was Important that the residents <br /> of the Island be notified of the new procedure as soon as <br /> possible. Mr. Hanson stated that he would follow through <br /> on this and be sure that a letter is ready for the <br /> res I dents before the weekend. <br /> John Ferriday stated that there are three signs indicating <br /> " Ton Limit" and "Proceed at Your own Risk" . Mrs . <br /> Jacobson suggested that an officer be posted in the area <br /> occassiorallfir, Mr. Lawrence disagreed, stating that since <br /> the Island is private property, a Town employed police <br /> officer should not be posted in the area. <br /> . her . Mr. Lawrence moved to approve out-of-state travel for <br /> Bradford R. Fish, Sr. in the amount o $438. 00 for the cost <br /> of ars airline ticket to attend the International <br /> Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor <br /> National Training Conference to be held in September, 1989 <br /> in Salt Lake City. irs.
