BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br /> MON AY v NOVEMBER 6, 1989 <br /> PAGE THREE <br /> APPOINTMENTS HEARINGS <br /> 3 (Cont. ) <br /> The Finance Committee recommended two 18 hour positions to <br /> void the cost of health benefits of approximately $3,000$4,000. I r. Nutting felt that there should be one full - <br /> time <br /> 1l -- <br /> tim person to be split between the two departments, <br /> thereby having better coordination and knowledge of each <br /> area. <br /> Mrs. Jacobson moved to oppose article 20 and support <br /> article 24 for the purpose of creating one full -time <br /> position to be split between the Board of Health and the <br /> Building I nspe for f s Office. Mr. Hanson seconded the <br /> motion and Mr. Gottlieb was in favor. Mr, Lawrence was <br /> opposed. <br /> Mike Hanlon, Mike Sciplone and Barrer H8mpson of Weston <br /> Sampson Engineers attended to provide the Beard with <br /> details of their recent meeting with BEP concerning the <br /> Septage Treatment Pilot Study, An additional $ 164,000 will <br /> be required to Complete the Pilot study as required by DEP, - <br /> r. Hampson stated that the four major cost I terns that <br /> increased the cost of the study are; 1 , Additional <br /> aMppropr i tion not voted in November, 1988, 2, Revisions to <br /> Pilot Plant Construction Costs, 3. Additional Laboratory <br /> Analysis and 4, Additional Costs to negotiate scope of <br /> services with BEP D P . <br /> The Board of Health recommended that no additional funds be <br /> spent on the project at this time. <br /> Mr. Henson moved to indefinitely postpone the pilot study <br /> to prepare a wastewater facility plen and to remove Article <br /> 13 from the warrant for the Special Town Meeting, M r. <br /> Lawrence seconded the motion and Mrs . Jacobson was in <br /> favor, Mr. Gottlieb stepped down and removed himself from <br /> the room. <br />
