Mr. Danson seconded the <br /> motion, All were in favor. <br /> SCHOOL GROWTH - D . DEMOURA - A Jointmeeting was held i h <br /> Town Planner, Planning Board, Finance Committee and <br /> Superintendent of Schools to discuss school growth issues, <br /> Dr. DeMoura stated that there are a great number of <br /> special needs children in the Mahpee School System, There <br /> has been an influx cif 22 special reeds children to the <br /> Town, This is due to homeless f mi l'i s being placed in <br /> vacant homes in the Town. <br /> Dr. DeMoura stated that the Middle' School is designed to <br /> add 4 to 6 classrooms , but the School Departmentos needs <br /> are greater than that. <br /> Mr. Carter asked about increasing cl ass sizes. Dr. DeMour <br /> stated that very few school systems had greater than 25 <br /> children per class. Anything much higher would lessen the <br /> quality of the program. <br /> Dr, DeMoura stated that a presentation will be made at the <br /> Annual Town Meeting for architect end construction for an <br /> addition or for a new school . <br /> Mr. Carter moved to authorize the borrowing of the money <br /> appropriated for the School Building Commi t ee contingent <br /> upon the appropriate planning and communication taking <br /> place between Mr. Nutting, Anne Shaw, Diane Rommelmeyer and <br /> the School Building- Committee. Mr. Hanson seconded the <br /> motion. All were in favor. <br /> , TRIBAL COUNCIL - MOVE OF BUILDING - Joan Tavares attended <br /> along with Tori Fudala and Doug Boyd to discuss the move of <br /> building owned by the Tribal Council to be moved onto <br /> Tribal Council land. <br /> L t <br />
