The Board should meet with <br /> the School Committee at this time. <br /> : 1� .m. Jan Cook, Hai stern Inc. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb has stepped down for this hearing. <br /> i <br /> Jan Cook of Hamstern, Inc. presented the alternative to a. large � <br /> wastewater treatment facility. His system is portable in which <br /> vehicle drives to the site, retains the solids, removes, treats and <br /> replaces the liquids into the system and later composts the solids <br /> at a compost site. <br /> The vehicle can service ten to twenty systems per day, They <br /> are reeommendeing this to be dome to the homeowner on a. yearly basis <br /> at ars estimated cost of $200 -per household. <br /> The vehicle can also process schools and nursing homes to service <br /> while they arein operation. The truck separates solids from liquids. <br /> The solids leave with the truck. It reduces the amount of nitrates <br /> and solids and eliminates the need for la.goo ing. <br /> Selectman Gottlieb is concerned with the chlorination of water <br /> into the ground water. <br /> 4, <br /> Selectman Carter has suggested Ha stern meet with the Board of <br /> Health and DEP on this matter of concern. He suggests they return <br /> to the meeting of January 28th to discuss the advisement ent of DEP and <br /> the Board of Health, <br /> Adjournment <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to adjourn the meeting <br /> being no further business to discuss. The selectmen will go into <br /> Executive session to discuss litigation involving the town and will'not <br /> e reconvening. <br /> The motion was seconded by Selectman Danson.
