Rhonda Machado - Amend Taxi Rate: <br /> Attorney Oanney was present to request the taxi rate change <br /> for Ms. Machado' s recently acquired permit be amended by the Board. <br /> The rates Ms. Machado wishes to charge are as followsp first <br /> 2/10th' s of a mile from $1.25 to $1.50 and each 1/10th of a mile <br /> from .30 to .200. The waiting time remains the same at $15.00 per <br /> hour. <br /> Mr. Harrington reports that this conforms with the guidelines <br /> for taxi rates the Town adopted in June of 1989. <br /> Selectman Jacobson asks when the service is to begin Attorney <br /> Canney stated , that the equipment has been purchased, but the meters <br /> are not calibrated. She will do so when approved by the Board to <br /> service her business with the new rate change. <br /> Selectman, Lawrence made the motion to grant Ms. Machado the <br /> requested rates to operate her taxi business. Selectman Jacobson <br /> seconded the motion. The vote is unanimous. 3,-0. <br /> 7: 20 p.m. Coombs School Building. The Town has f nally issued <br /> Certificate of Occupancy and he feels the committee has- no further <br /> meed to be a committee. <br /> Effective on January 10 1991# John Fergusong Anne Sh c ett, <br /> Mary Duddy and Elizabeth petti have resigned from the School Building <br /> Committee* <br /> Mr. Ferguson reports there is an estimated $100,000. remaining- <br /> with <br /> emaining=with very -few outstanding "issues. Where are no major problems <br /> f'orseen. He also reports the suit with Eastern Contractors is ongoing. <br /> With the disbandment of the committees Selectman Carter questions <br /> if the Selectmen are liable for any actions. Town Counsel advises <br /> the Board will not become liable, there is little lest to process or <br /> administrate. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Lawrence to accept the resignation <br /> of the School Building Committee members from the Coombs School a <br /> listed. <br /> Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The motion is unanimous. <br /> The vote is 3- . <br /> The Board has accepted the Building Committee' s final report <br /> and have authorized Kevin Harrington to administer funds and continuation <br /> of suit. <br /> Mr. Reardon informs the Board that Eastern Contractors is in <br /> suit with the Town based upon a contractnterpretat on, <br /> New Seabury Sewage Treatment i <br /> Ken Harrington reports that New Sea boxy and the Cape Cod <br /> Commission staff have been working to resolve the issue of jurisdiction <br /> involuting sewerage treatment under New Seabury' s special permit. <br /> Mr. Harrington has recommended the Board to continue to maintain <br /> their position of support i <br />
