Mrs Harrington gave a brief discussion of the events
leading to the erection of the building of concern.
The building was built on the weekend of April 20, 1991, The
Little League has a. valid building permit. The problem lies in the
report from the four departments as to their knowledge and involvement
states Mro Harrington*
Therewas an apparent miscommunication between the Little League
and the Leisure Services Department. There was an idea to erect a
building with no specific date,
Volunteers 6onstructed the building with private funds including
some Town appropriation. Mr. Harrington noted the permit was issued
without a signature, The fault 'is with the regulatory agents,
Mr. Harrington met with the Little League to proceed on a better
coordinated manner on April. 26, 1991. The building is -here, the problem
is what to do with it,
According tothe procurement law, the Town should go out to
competitive bid since the Town is the legal. owner.
Selectman Jacobson asked why and how the funds were recieved from
the Town to pay for a well and septic system? Mrs Harrington did not
k funds
were t be used after the well. The intent was to use
the funds for improvement ent of the ball field.
