Harrington - <br /> uests: Chief Frye, Chief Rdigeway <br /> Selectman Jacobson Called the Yeeting to Order at 9: 01 pole <br /> Selectman Cafflyn asked that the minutes be ammended to reflect on <br /> page six paragraph six the word conflict be omitted and to add an:---' ' <br /> issue in it' s repl.ace� ent. <br /> As a .mend.ed, the motion wa.si:.made by Selectman C a ffyn to approve <br /> the minutes of Monday June 10, 1991 Executive Session. The motion <br /> was seconded by Selectman Gottlieb,, The vote of the Board 's unanimous. <br /> Dispatch Incident: <br /> Mr. Harrington reported -there are a number of inconsistancies <br /> that indicate the6,need for a. further investigation of the public <br /> safety di spa.tch incident. <br /> i <br /> This is the third indecent involving capabilities or attitude <br /> as to the conduction of work. There haus been moor strides in the <br /> public safety dispatch system states Mr. Harrington!@ He is concerned <br /> with the incident <br /> Mr. Harrington asks for approval From the Board to conduct a <br /> investigation. This problem may still exist. He will report to the <br /> Board with his recommendations. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to.-,),authorize Sevin <br /> Harrington to conduct the investigation and return to the Board with <br /> his report a <br /> The motion was seconded by Selectman Hanson. The vote of the <br /> Board is uanimous. The vote is 5-00 <br /> Base Negotiations.. <br /> There has been al t of meetings held of this concern with the <br /> �,"Jhite House, the Military Base and with Studds and it is a. difficult <br /> process reports selectman Gottlieb. <br /> The latest information is we can' t use Off Shore lagged shipping <br /> Co . to acquire materials to do this work. There will be a twenty page <br /> draft to review in a. few peeks reports selectman Gottlieb, <br /> Once the draft is signed, the Board should talk of how to address <br /> the base contamination. selectman Gottlieb suggests the Board take <br /> radically different approach with our dealings with the Base. <br /> This mayof be the end of our problem states Selectman Lawrence. <br /> Selectman affyn Feels this should 'be ac ress dora Problems with <br /> contamination will lower property values as well s health problems. <br /> She feels there should be a stronger team effort to participate with <br /> ti so Mashpee government should be present for discussion, <br /> Chairman Jacobson asks if the cancer study will pin point areas? <br /> It was replied by selectman Gottlieb that it will. she is also concerned <br /> with the many meetings involved without a represe"nta.tive from the Town <br /> of lahpee there to address the pollution problems. <br />
