Lawrence to approve the <br /> minutes of September 3 , 1991 Regular Session, Se tembe-r 30, 1991 <br /> Regular and Executive sessions and October 7, 1991 .Re ular <br /> Session. <br /> The- motion was- s-econded by Selectman Hanson. The vote of <br /> the Board is unanimous to approve the above ast _.minutes . The <br /> vote is - , <br /> PUBLIC DISCUSSION: <br /> Mrs . Simmons commented on the DPW property ,located on <br /> Meeting House Road. There is quite alot of fill causing compression <br /> of the soil which. is resulting in destruction of the trees . <br /> She has recommended to remove the dead trees and replant <br /> seedlings along the edge of' the road to give a nicer appearance <br /> to the area. <br /> Mr. "Taylor noted he was not aware of this problem. <br /> Selectman Jacobson recommended for Mr:" Taylor to Griew the <br /> site to see what can be done about the problem. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Recall Special Election: <br /> The motion was made by selectman caffyn to hold the <br /> Special - Recall Election on Thursday, December 19, 1991 r . crred <br /> to as day 64. The motion was seconded by Selectman Jacobson. <br /> According to our bylaw states selectman caffyn, the action <br /> that should be taken is ]used on the October 9, 1991 notification <br /> date that would indicate December 11 , 1991 to be the 64th day. <br /> Selectman caffyn has talked with Attorney Reardon and the <br /> Office of the Secretary of state of this concern. The state has <br /> indicated that 64 days is required by state law which takes <br /> precedence over our Town bylaw. Attorney Reardon agrees . <br /> We are effectively not following our bylaws states Selectman <br /> caf fyn. That is correct replies Attorney Reardon, The Doan of <br /> Selectmen shall set the Special Election date no sooner than 35 <br /> days and no later than 65 days after receipt of notice from the <br /> Town clerk. <br />
