a BOARD D of SELECTMEN MINUTES MONDAY, JANUARY 13 , 1992 Present : Selectman Jacobson, Selectman Caffyn, Selectman Vaccaro, Selectman Mills Administrative Assistant Joyce Mason Town counsel Joseph J. Reardon Absent : Selectman Lawrence Guests : Al Poisi , Anne Shaw, Paul Ott, Ed Baer, Elizabeth Pettit Denise Sullivan, Deidre Greelish, David Bailey, Steven re-elish, Leslie Greig, Kenneth Porter The Meeting was Called to Order by Chairman Jacobson at p.m. APPROVAL of MINUTES: January �, 1992 : Selectman of yn has recommended to review the tape of he minutes to make corrections . In parti-61ular on page eight under Investigative Expenditures, Selectman Vaccaro asked that the minutes be amended to reflect on page three under the discussion of the Popponessett Spit. In the fifth paragraph the reply from counsel was yes in answer to the question if it was legal to contract on private property. Selectman Vaccaro noted the vote on page six under the discussion relative to the appointment of Robert courtemanche was -1 . Selectman Lawrence abstained from voting oft this issue . On page three in Executive Session the word objective should be changed to objection as it appears in three instances . Also on page three, Selectman Vaccaro requests the word to be changed to the word by in the first sentence. Selectman caffyn will also view for cla ificaion on page eight under discussion relative to Town counsel Access and Billing if the suggestion was made in the form of a motion. This was never followed and she does not recall the statement. Selectman Mills asked for cla i f ica i,on of the Board ' s Thursday Meeting dates . She was informed by Selectman Jacobson the Board is scheduled to meet on Thursday, January 23rd and Thursday, February the 13the On page two of the minutest Selectman Mills aced the minutes be amended to include under the discussion of Donna ' s Lame that the Board requested direction from Town counsel if it is possible to give the road back to the owner. Selectman Vaccaro notes this may of been dis- cussed on Thursday. ' 4 On page four under the Popponessett Spit discussion viewing the third paragraph from the bottom, Selectman Mills feels another sentence should be added. Selectman Jacobson noted she was repeatedly asked to be given this information and Selectman Caffyn asked why the cover up. Selectman Caffyn feels there was more information to this discussions On page five of the minutes. Selectman Mills asked that the word status be changed from the second '' paragraph and use report or ,informa- tion in its place. Selectman Mills asked that the minutes be amended ono-,,page five second paragraph from the bottom. The correct t rm- should be not informing, On page ten, Selectman dills asked to delete the statement towards the Town of Dennis and their means to generate income.,
