+ <br /> x w <br /> Y <br /> BOARD of SELECTMEN Page <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, JULY 20,0 1J2 <br /> John Ferguson re : Waiver_of Fee Fireworks Permit : <br /> . <br /> Selectman costa has offered to pay the $10 fee for the <br /> Fireworks permit. <br /> DPT Dire otr re : Great oak Road Update <br /> Greg Taylor was in Boston today Meeting with representatives <br /> from DEM and MFPA. He indicates that agreement continues to <br /> proceed with -notice of project change of safety items and the <br /> bicycle path as long as- .it will not impact the environmentally <br /> sensitive areas and- there is no change in the alignment of Great <br /> Oak Road, <br /> Mr. Taylor is to provide the areas as to where the changes <br /> Will occur. Represent a.tives will review the area in mid-August, <br /> Mr. Taylor indica-tes that additional engineering is required to <br /> detail where the road is out of alignment and detail topography <br /> f vertical and horizontal curves . <br /> The additional engineering to identify dangerous grades and <br /> curves is approximately $10, 000-15,000 informs Mr. Taylor . <br /> { Mr. Taylor relates that DFM does not feel the portion of the <br /> old state road project will he completed before the work on Great <br /> Oak Road . <br /> The agreement remains to allocate $620 ,000 informs <br /> Mr. Taylor, This figure has been in agreement since 19900 <br /> selectman Vaccaro recommends for Attorney Morse to review <br /> and determine the legal fees and for Mr. Taylor to determine the <br /> engineering costs involved . He motes that our representatives <br /> indicated that they will make every effort to receive additional <br /> appropriation when the documentation has been received . <br /> Mr. Taylor will review the copy of the agreement. He <br /> relates that the engineering work has to be completed before <br /> discussions can continue with MFPA. <br /> *The motion was rade by Selectman Jacobson to authorize <br /> Mr. Taylor to send at letter requesting state assistance for <br /> engineering fees . The motion was seconded by Selectman costa . <br /> 4 <br /> VT . Unanimous . - • <br /> L - <br />
