This article proposed to <br /> transfer from the DPW Expense Account to the DPW Capital Account <br /> a sum to pay the first year of a three year lease/purchase on a <br /> backhoe/front end loader . <br /> From the legal standpoint , Mr. Whritenour indicates that <br /> this is not required to be placed on the Warrant . He notes the <br /> lease agreement was signed and the equipment delivered . <br /> The intent of the article is a matter of municipal <br /> accounting explains Mrs . Greelish. This will give us the ability <br /> to place the item under the Capital account . <br /> The Board is in agreement to re-insert this article. <br /> 730 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING: <br /> Taxi Cab Permit Hearin - John J. Bartolomei d/b/a New <br /> seabur Mash ee Taxi : <br /> Mr. Bartolomei was present to request approval to operate a <br /> taxi service in Mashpee , He indicates that presently an <br /> additional rate is Charged for a taxi service to Come from <br /> Falmouth to service Mashpee residents . This is his main reason <br /> to begin a business in Mashpee. <br /> There is .a definite need to have this type of business in <br /> Mashpee explains Mr . Bartolomei . He relates that he will work <br /> together with Mr. Zaleski and give Mashpee the service it <br /> deserves . <br /> Mr. Bartolomei will operate his business from -A Madalet <br /> Place in Mashpee. A telephone will be installed in his vehicle <br /> to receive Calls on a 24 hour basis. If the application is <br /> approved, Mr. Bartolomei will purchase a station wagon to <br /> service area residents . <br /> Selectman Caffyn indicates that a letter was received from <br /> New Seabury Marketing Manager, Patricia Pry stating that the use <br /> of the words "New seabury" is not permitted under their <br /> registered trademark. <br /> Mr, Bartolomei relates that he has also receive <br /> notification from New seabury and will change the name of his <br /> firm. He noes that it may be referred to as Mashpee Taxi * <br />
