t BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page MINUTES ` MONDAY, AUGUST 24f 1992 PUBLIC HEARING: Taxi cab Permit Hearing John J. Bartolomei new sebur Mash ee Taxi : Mr. Bartoloei indicates his concern to the low rate as proposed in Mashpee ' s Mules and Regualations of Taxi cabs and Operation Thereof. He relates that insurance costs are high. The Board is in agreement to take thi s under advisement at this time . Rat es and policy ' s of neighboring town ' s will be reviewed for comparison. .Review of Town Meeting Warrant : The Board reviewed Draft #4 of the Annual Town Meeting Tarrant dated August 24, 1992 . To rote, the numbers have charged from the previous drafts . Article #3 : OUT The recommendation was made to place the article pertaining to the backhoe in this position. Article #4 : In place, Agreement to be submitted by the Town Planner. Article #7 : As submitted . Article #9 : OUT The vote was 3-2 to remove this article . Selectman Jacobson and selectman costa were in opposition. Article x#10; selectman Vaccaro has recommended to remove this article. This article is justified, but should be placed on the May Town Meeting Warrant as in past practice. This article seeks to create two new positions . A /5th vote is required at Town Meeting with advice of the Finance committee notes Selectman Vaccaro . Typo noted : conservation Agent ; Grade 11 to Grace 1 . It was noted that this increase was recommended by the conservation Commission. The increase is also a mandate. Selectman Jacobson and Selectman costa relate their concern to upgrade the conservation Agent at this time . Selectman ca f fyn recommends to obtain justification of each grace increase with the monetary amount included . It is the agreement that the 'two new positions should be separate articles .
