BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 2 M'I i f T E THURSDAY, JANUARY 7. 1993 Review DPW Goals for 1993 Mr. Taylor was present to discuss his performance objectives for FY9 . Included for review was a summarized list of accomplishments and goals as submitted by Mr. Taylor dated September 1991 - September 1992 . Performance objectives as presented in item number one are the same for fiscal year 1992 and 1993 . Selectman Jacobson related concerns towards the maintenance, repair and cleaning of Town owned buildings. In particular, the Senior center and Police Station . Mr. Taylor indicated that the primary concern of the DPW Director involves the exterior of Town owned buildings . He related that the interior maintenance derives from the Selectmen ' s account , Mr. Taylor noted that Mr. Martini is now under the direction of the DPT Director. *The Board is in agreement that additional custodial staff is necessary to maintain Town owned buildings. The Town needs to define and create a custodial staff. It was noted that Police Officers may be cleaning their building at a time and one half rate, letter will be submitted to Chief Frye in request of a response relative to the cleaning of his building. Mr. Whritenour will review the square footage of all Town buildings and return with a proposal for continued discussion relative to additional custodial staff. Performance objectives of item number t-wo include the maintenance of ditches , catch basins and drainage of Town accepted roads to improve drainage conditions . The third performance objective is consistent with Mr. Taylors activities in the development of road maintenance programs , Item number four as written to better define the Town ' s betterment and road taking programs and guidelines is approved as objectives for FY9 .
