r� <br />U <br />BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br />MINUTES <br />iONDAY , FEBRUARY 8r 1 <br />Acceptance of Bich for Sprinkler System Transfer Station: <br />Massachusetts Fire Protection submitted a proposal of <br />$12,850 to provide a Fire Suppression sprinkler System at the <br />Transfer Station. <br />Mr. Whritenonr indicated that the sum of $10,000 has been <br />reserved in the solid waste account for the above work. He <br />recommends the Board accept the low bid pending the security of <br />additional funds to complete the work. <br />***The motion was made by Selectman Mills to award the contract <br />to provide a Fire Suppression.Sprinkler System to Massachusetts <br />Fire Protection for the sum of $12,850. -This award is subject to <br />the security, of addit'ional funds in the amount o $2,.850, The <br />motion was seconded by Selectman Costa, VOTE: Unanimous. - . <br />Discussion relative to the Capital Improvement Committee: <br />The bylaw as adopted for the Capital Improvement ent ommittee <br />and Program was submitted for review. Additional membership <br />requirements include; One Board of Selectmen member wh,o shall be <br />designated annually. In addition, the Board shall appoint <br />another member who shall not be a town employee or a member of <br />.another town board or committeelp <br />s per the additional membership requirements, one Finance <br />Committee member shall be designated annually by the majority <br />vote of the Finance Committee, The Finance Committee shall <br />appoint another member who shall not be a torn employee or <br />member of another town board or committee. <br />The head of each department, board or committee which has <br />one or more capital projects in the six years encompassed by the <br />plan shall also be appointed by the committee. <br />*The Board -is in agreement to advertise for citizen <br />participation to the Capital Improvement Committee.. <br />Mr, Whritenour has recommend-ed to select a department head that <br />has participated in capital budget process in excess of 1,00 <br />Communication from Insurance Cost Control, Inc. re; Trust <br />Agreement: <br />Communication was received from the Cape Cod Municipal <br />Health Group dated January 28, 1993 with regards to amendments to <br />the 'gust Agreement informed Mr, Whritenour. Amendments of the <br />Trust Agreement must be approved and executed. <br />
