Short discussion took place concerning <br />Board of Health regulations. Selectman Costa expressed opinion <br />the upcoming event schedule is impressive. <br />*The motion was node by Selectman Costa that The Board <br />approve the application for permit to provide entertainment at <br />Mashpee Commons for public viewing according to the attached <br />schedule of events; the motion was made second by Selectman <br />Mills; nation passed* VOTE: Unanimous. -- . <br />Public Hearing Ambulance Service/Fee Chance . <br />The purpose of the public hearing is to review a <br />contemplated change in the fees charged by the Mashpee Fire and <br />Rescue Department for Ambulance services, <br />Chairman Caffyn read letter dated January 25, 1993 from Fire <br />Chief Robert Ridgeway requesting the Board of Selectmen to <br />increase the base charge for ambulance service from $75 to $150, <br />and to increase the loaded mile charge from $3 to $7, Attached <br />to Mr. Ridgeway' s letter is a review of what other area towns <br />charge for this service as well as a 1992 memo from Medicare on <br />maximum allowances for ambulance services. <br />George of the Fire and Rescue Department represented .14r. <br />Eaeseeo'np'w, who was unable to be present this evening. Selectman Costa expressed concern a hardship is <br />created when people who cannot afford to do so, try to pay the <br />balance after insurance reimbursement. He stated the base rate <br />
