BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 11 MINUTES IS MONDAYt MARCH 993 Discussion of Public Safety Committee: Selectman Caffyn indicated that the committee would study and report to the Board of selectmen regarding the feasibility of establishing a Public Safety Director position and the future organization of the two Public Safety Departments., Selectman caffyn recommended to include a member of the Finance Committee, representation from the Police and Fire Departments, the Executive Secretary and Selectmen liaisons for the Police and Fire Departments. *Selectman Mills has offered to serve on the committee in pl ace 'of Selectman Jacobson.. *The motion was made by Selectman Costa to form. a Public Safety Committee as recommended. The motion was seconded by Selectman Jacobson. VOTE: Unanimous.. -. Memoranda from the Finance Committee: Correspondence was received from the Finance Committee dated February 2, 1993 with regards to the unanimous vote of the committee to request the Board of Selectmen not hold a Special Town Meeting prior to the Annual Town Meeting which will require overrides or debt exclusions, The Finance committee also expressed concern the -increased allotment for furnishings related to the Middle school Addition. Mrs. Greelish indicated that the school Building Committee has requested Dr. DeMoura supply an estimate of anticipated furnishings for the addition. *The School Building committee will be requested to be on theSelectmen's agenda to discuss this concern. Draft Policy for Discussion -.- A Draft Policy for Town Employee's and Appointed officials: Reporting Misco.nduct/Wrongdoing dated April 61 1992 will be submitted to Town counsel for review. Approval and Execution of the Barnstable County Hone Consortium rm. **The motion was made by Selectman Mills to approve the Mutual Cooperation Agreement to Form the Barnstable county Home Consortium under the ran son- cnl National Affordable Housing Act in accordance with the provisions of G.L.c.121B, and further authorize the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen to sign 4D the Agreement on behalf of the Town of Mashpee.
