I 0 BOARD OF SELECTMEN t Pate MINUTES MONDAYt AP1IL 2 19 3 Site Review Committee re:RequestFor Proposal: Advertisement will be made for two creeks in the central Register informed Nis, Ahl ren. The requested PFP return date is May 20, 1.993 . The Site review committee will propose two sites for the future high school indicated Ms, Ahl ren . As recommended by the Educational Facilities Needs Committee, the potential sites are located between Meeting House Board Noi y Hole Road/Route 13 and in the area of Route 11Old.Barrnstble Road. The scope of services as addressed in the 1FP include; a topographical study of the two sites, preliminary soil analysis, preliminary environmental impact studies, conceptual designs for at 9-12 grade community high school with interim use to include grades 7 and 8 and coordination with the school Superintendent to understand the needs of the school program to translate the needs into a conceptual design on both -sites@ s indicated in the scope of services, the conceptual design of the two sites will satisfy SFSB criteria for preliminary approval for reimbursement informed Ms. Ahl ren. Input will also be coordinated with other Town agencies to satisfy community needs. The final report will compare and contrast the pro's and con's of building the high school on either site indicated Nis , - Ahlren . Cost estimates will be projected for October Town Meeting presentation* Ms, Ahlgren indicated that the sure of $100,000 will be requested for Town Meeting -appropriation to authorize the preliminary design study. It was noted that this will appear as. Article 10 of the Special Town meeting Warrant. *The emotion was made by -Selectman Jacobson to approve the Request For Proposal as prepared by the site review Committee pending Town Counsel's approval of the 1FP . The motion was seconded by Selectman Vaccaro. VOTE: -Lin n im us . 3-0 . Mrs, Greelish recommended to transfer the request for the study from stabilization rather than borrow the $100r000 and pay interest fees. Mr. Whritenour will review this concern. He has recommended to borrow the money and leave available funds in the free cash flow.
