• <br />0 <br />BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 9 <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, JULY 26, 1993 <br />8:05 p.m. June Daley re: Rabies Policy and Procedures Manual: <br />June Daley, Animal Control Officer was present to discuss <br />the Rabies Policy and Procedure Manual with the Board. Ms. Daley <br />noted that the Police Department, Executive Secretary, Board of <br />Health and Dr. David Lowrance have incorporated input into the <br />manual. <br />***The motion was made by Selectman Costa to accept the Rabies <br />Policy and Procedures Manual as presented by the Animal Control <br />Officer. The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE: <br />Unanimous. 5-0. <br />COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Selectman Caffyn re: Agenda Items: <br />Selectman Caffyn has recommended to consult Continental <br />Cable to discuss the possibility of televising Selectmen's <br />meetings. The Board is in agreement. <br />Selectman Caffyn has offered to coordinate the cable review <br />with regards to lighting and space requirements and return to the <br />Board for consideration. <br />Selectman Caffyn recommended to appoint a Drug Task <br />Committee to formally act against drug traffic and use in <br />Mashpee. It is the agreement of the Board to support the <br />concept. It is necessary to place this as an article on the Town <br />Meeting Warrant in October. <br />8:20 p.m. Recess 8:27 p.m. Meeting Resumed <br />Sharon Travers -Gay re: Community Action Statement: <br />Sharon Travers -Gay of STG Consultants Services was present <br />to discuss the Community Action Statement she has prepared for <br />submission to EOCD. <br />Ms. Travers -Gay presented a potential prioritization of <br />needs for consideration and review. With the support of <br />Selectman Caffyn, Mr. Whritenour and Mr. Fudala, Ms. Travers -Gay <br />submitted a list of five most important community development <br />needs in Mashpee. (enclosed) <br />It was noted that August 1, 1993 is the deadline for <br />submission of the Community Action Statement to EOCD. <br />
