• 0 BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 9 MINUTES MONDAY, JULY 26, 1993 8:05 p.m. June Daley re: Rabies Policy and Procedures Manual: June Daley, Animal Control Officer was present to discuss the Rabies Policy and Procedure Manual with the Board. Ms. Daley noted that the Police Department, Executive Secretary, Board of Health and Dr. David Lowrance have incorporated input into the manual. ***The motion was made by Selectman Costa to accept the Rabies Policy and Procedures Manual as presented by the Animal Control Officer. The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: Selectman Caffyn re: Agenda Items: Selectman Caffyn has recommended to consult Continental Cable to discuss the possibility of televising Selectmen's meetings. The Board is in agreement. Selectman Caffyn has offered to coordinate the cable review with regards to lighting and space requirements and return to the Board for consideration. Selectman Caffyn recommended to appoint a Drug Task Committee to formally act against drug traffic and use in Mashpee. It is the agreement of the Board to support the concept. It is necessary to place this as an article on the Town Meeting Warrant in October. 8:20 p.m. Recess 8:27 p.m. Meeting Resumed Sharon Travers -Gay re: Community Action Statement: Sharon Travers -Gay of STG Consultants Services was present to discuss the Community Action Statement she has prepared for submission to EOCD. Ms. Travers -Gay presented a potential prioritization of needs for consideration and review. With the support of Selectman Caffyn, Mr. Whritenour and Mr. Fudala, Ms. Travers -Gay submitted a list of five most important community development needs in Mashpee. (enclosed) It was noted that August 1, 1993 is the deadline for submission of the Community Action Statement to EOCD.
