BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page MINUTES MONDA, JULY 2j 993 COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: Communication from Town Counsel re: Harbormaster Town Counsel indicated that the Town has not adopted the local option statute of the MA General Laws as passed in 1987, Therefore, the earlier provisions of the' statute would prevail. The Selectmen -Is s appointment is then guided by the Town Bylaw. ***'The motion was made by Selectman Mills to reaffirm the eighteen month appointment of Perry Ellis as Harbormaster for at tern to expire December 31, 1994. The motion was seconded by Selectman Costa. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. NEW BUSINESS Letter of Resignation - Rita Sousa: The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to accept the resignation of Pita Sousa as a member of the Personnel Board. A letter of appreciation will be issued to Ms. Sousa for her many years of service to Mashpee. The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills, VOTE; Unanimous. 5-.
