Two samples from each <br />pond are recommended to be sampled utilizing the Barnstable <br />,County Department of Health, Human Services and Environment <br />Laboratory for analysis. <br />The recommendation is unacceptable with the Board of <br />Selectmen. T should insist on an immediate resolution indicated <br />Selectman Jacobson to stop the plume and test the ponds on a <br />bimonthly basis. The board is in agreement.. <br />Selectman Mills indicated that one selected site on the <br />northern shore does not adequately address Mashpee's Concerns, <br />It is the Consensus of the Board to submit correspondence to <br />Mr. Santos relative to the unacceptable proposal. Selectman <br />Jacobson has offered to craft a memo to Mr. Santos,. <br />To alleviate use of the Fire Department's boat and overtime <br />feels, Selectman Vaccaro recommended to allow the Board of Health <br />Agent to utilize the Harbormaster's boat to sample the ponds for <br />CC's. *The Board is in agreement. <br />Postin John's Pond: <br />Selectman va taro road the memo of July 26, 1993 as written <br />y Board of Health Agent, Elias McQuaid relative to the bacterial <br />problem of John's Pond, (enclosed) <br />Warning signs have been posted at John's Pond to alert <br />r *dents of the elevated bacterial levels. It is the agreement <br />f the Board to place new warring signs in the pond area to <br />include the Town Seal and signatures of the Board of Health <br />members for official validation. <br />Selectman Mills has offered to discuss this concern with <br />Elias McQuaid. The Board of Health will be authorized to test <br />other ponds used for swimming for this typo of bacteria. <br />COMMUNICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Communication from Attorney General r : Septage Lagoons: <br />Selectman Costa indicated that the Board of Health is <br />Currently Complying with the request of DEP to Close the setge <br />lagoons within a 30-60 day period. <br />After September 30, 1993, septage will he no longer accepted <br />at the Transfer Station informed Selectman Costa* <br />0, <br />
