r <br />r <br />i <br />r <br />BOARD of SELECTMEN Page <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, JULY 26, 1993 <br />Communication from Attorney _General re: Septa e_Lagoons . <br />The septae lagoons will be closed in accordance with the <br />closure schedule informed Selectman costa and be removed from the <br />Transfer Station. <br />Selectman costa indicated that Mashpee will be constructing <br />a wastewater pre-treatment facility in conjunction with the Town <br />of Sandwich at the Military Reservation within the next few <br />years. <br />After the closure of the lagoons, homeowners will dispose <br />septa e for an est imated' amount of . 11 per gallon. This fee <br />does not include pumping septae noted Selectman costa, <br />The Board of Health is available for consultation with <br />regards to septage disposal informed Selectman Costa, Residents <br />should be aware of this concern and seek competitive prices for <br />disposal noted Selectman costa. <br />Melaneon and Greenwood - Agreement Renewal: <br />*The emotion was made by Selectman Costa to approve -and <br />execute the agreement with Melanson and Greenwood, the Town <br />uditors,as drafted. The Chairman of the Beard is authorized to <br />execute the agreement. The motion was seconded by Selectman <br />Jacobson. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0 . <br />PUBLICDISCUSSION: <br />The question was asked by Betty Nichols as to when the <br />report on Christine Donovan is to be completed. She was informed <br />by Selectman Mills that the report will be available at the next <br />meeting of the Board of Selectmen. <br />Board of Health - Request for Procurement Assistance: <br />The Board of Health has requested assistance from <br />Mr. Whritenour, the Procurement officer with respect to the <br />Town's recycling services contracts. <br />Mr, Whritenour has been requested to determine the best <br />option for recycling services contracts informed Selectman <br />vaccaro. <br />Selectman Caffyn recommended to use the public bid process <br />for recycling services contracts to save the Town money. <br />**The motion was made by Selectman costa to authorize <br />Mr, Whritenour to review the recycling services contracts and <br />return with a recommendation to the hoard of Selectmen and Board <br />of Health. The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE: <br />Unanimous. - . <br />
