sp r* � BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 11 MINUTES MONDAY , MAY 1011993 Communication relative to DEM Reimbursement Correspondence was received -from Town Counsel relative to the DEM Reimbursement to the Town for the Great Oak Road/south Cape Beach Development Project dated April 22, 19930 In the opinion of Town Counsel, the Town is not obligated to expend more than the reimbursement amount, Counsel for DEM has also indicated that the Town is not obligated, to expend additional sums should the reimbursement amount be insufficient to complete all roadway improvements. Selectman Vaccaro recommended to review the encroachments related to the Great Oak Road project. **The motion was made by selectman Costa to accept the $40,000 reimbursement from the -Department of Environmental Management, The Executive secretary is authorized to execute the paperwork involved in the process. The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills, VOTE: Unanimous, -- . Selectman Caffyn abstained from voting. Early Retirement Vote: ***The motion was made by Selectman Mills to accept the provisions of the MA General Laws, Chapter 399 of the Acts of 1992, The Early Retirement is limited to; up to two employee's with five years of creditable servile or years of age to be added to retirement, The motion was seconded by Selectman Costa, VOTE: Unanimous. -O . Memo from Selectman Jacobson re: U, . Wildlife Selectman Jacobson -presented a memo dated May 71 1993 with regards to the recent tour of the proposed U.S. Fish and Wildlife Refuge area in Mapee. Selectman Jacobson indicated that she is impressed with the proposed area and employee participation aiding in this endeavor. selectman Jacobson indicated that she would like to participate on the proposal with selectman Costa. *The Board is in agreements Selectman Caffyn noted that a tour is scheduled this month with consultants of the Woods Mole project, the Chamber and members of the Board of Selectmen.
