sp <br />r* � <br />BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 11 <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY , MAY 1011993 <br />Communication relative to DEM Reimbursement <br />Correspondence was received -from Town Counsel relative to <br />the DEM Reimbursement to the Town for the Great Oak Road/south <br />Cape Beach Development Project dated April 22, 19930 <br />In the opinion of Town Counsel, the Town is not obligated to <br />expend more than the reimbursement amount, Counsel for DEM has <br />also indicated that the Town is not obligated, to expend <br />additional sums should the reimbursement amount be insufficient <br />to complete all roadway improvements. <br />Selectman Vaccaro recommended to review the encroachments <br />related to the Great Oak Road project. <br />**The motion was made by selectman Costa to accept the $40,000 <br />reimbursement from the -Department of Environmental Management, <br />The Executive secretary is authorized to execute the paperwork <br />involved in the process. The motion was seconded by Selectman <br />Mills, VOTE: Unanimous, -- . Selectman Caffyn abstained from <br />voting. <br />W <br />�. ,� <br />*The motion was made by Selectman Costa to direct the <br />Executive secretary to authorize Town Counsel to begin the <br />encroachment process -related to Great Oak Road. The motion was <br />seconded by Selectman Mills, VOTE: Unanimous. - . selectman <br />Ca f f- n abstained from voting. <br />Early Retirement Vote: <br />***The motion was made by Selectman Mills to accept the <br />provisions of the MA General Laws, Chapter 399 of the Acts of <br />1992, The Early Retirement is limited to; up to two employee's <br />with five years of creditable servile or years of age to be added <br />to retirement, The motion was seconded by Selectman Costa, <br />VOTE: Unanimous. -O . <br />Memo from Selectman Jacobson re: U, . Wildlife <br />Selectman Jacobson -presented a memo dated May 71 1993 with <br />regards to the recent tour of the proposed U.S. Fish and Wildlife <br />Refuge area in Mapee. <br />Selectman Jacobson indicated that she is impressed with the <br />proposed area and employee participation aiding in this <br />endeavor. selectman Jacobson indicated that she would like to <br />participate on the proposal with selectman Costa. *The Board is <br />in agreements <br />Selectman Caffyn noted that a tour is scheduled this month <br />with consultants of the Woods Mole project, the Chamber and <br />members of the Board of Selectmen. <br />
