BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, MAY 17, 1993 <br />7:15 p.m. Public Nearing: <br />Carnival Request: <br />Selectman vaccaro opened the Public Hearin in accordance <br />with the Town Bylaw 12.1B on the application of Melinda <br />S. Gallant, Manager of Mashpee commons for the vA child care <br />Center Fiesta Show. <br />Ms. Gallant and Mr. Gene Dean; President and owner of Fiesta <br />Shows were present to discuss the fund raiser proposal with the <br />Board . <br />The p,eci_al events application is scheduled for six days to <br />begin on Tuesday, ,dune 22, 1993 until Sunday, June 27, 1993 in <br />the Mashpee commons area next to the Fleet Bank informed <br />Ms. Gallant. <br />Of the fourteen amusement rides, one-half are for the small <br />children noted Ms. Gallant.. Typical carnival type food will be <br />served at the event. <br />As required by Acting Fire Chief George Baker, two <br />firefighters and one vehicle are necessary on standby for the <br />entire event. Four police officers will be on site as required <br />by Police Chief Frye to be paid for by Fiesta Shows. <br />r. Dean indicated that 20% of gross revenue sales from <br />amusement rides will be turned over to the visiting Nurses <br />Association. <br />7:21 p, . Selectman vaccaro closed the Public Dearing. <br />***The motion was made by Selectman costa to approve of the <br />Special Events Application as submitted by Melinda So Gallant, <br />Manager of Mashpee Commons on behalf of the VNA Child care Center <br />Fiesta Show fund raiser to be held on Tune 22-7, 1993 in Mashpee <br />Commons, The motion was seconded by Selectman Jacobson. VOTE <br />Unanimous. - . <br />Town Olen - Town Report <br />Town clerk; Jane Labute was present to discuss the Town <br />Report as requested by Selectman caf fyn . Selectman Caffyn <br />indicated that the ballot is mi ssing from the Town Report* She <br />asked Ms, Labute if -there are other in -accuracies in the Town <br />Report. <br />Ms. Labute read a- statement relative to the copies of <br />ballots for the Town Deport. .(enclosed) Nis. Labute indicated <br />that if there was a problem with the report, Article 4 of the <br />1993 Annul Town Meeting should have been indefinitely postponed. <br />
