■ <br />BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAYE SEPTEMBER 13, 19 <br />Present: Selectman vaccaro, Selectman Mills, <br />Selectman Jacobson, Selectman Costa <br />Executive Secretary Robert Whritenour <br />Absent: Selectman Caffyn <br />Guests: Anne Shaw, Diane Rommelm yor, Al Pol-i <br />Deidre Greelish, George Baker, Greg Taylor <br />Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Vaooaro at p-me <br />PUBLIC DISCUSSION: <br />The Board will submit a letter -of appreciation to Ray <br />Martini and Errol Dicks for their time and effort as contributed <br />to re -finishing the hardwood floors in the Selectmen's Conference <br />Room. It is a job well done.. <br />l Polsi, representing the Mashpee Taxpayers Association <br />indicated that there was no representation from the Board of <br />Selectmen at their last mooting. It was their intention to have <br />a member from the Board introduce Representative Cahir and <br />Senator Rauschenbach to the taxpayers. <br />For the record, Selectman Mills noted that the Board met <br />with Representative Cahir three days prior to their meeting to <br />discuss the same issue relative to the Education Reform Act o <br />1993 with the School Committee, It was also noted that the <br />Selectmen had a full agenda this past week. <br />Mr. Polsi asked if the Town was restricted by Proposition <br />as it relates to salary increases. An increase beyond should <br />be presented to the voters suggested Mr, Polsi, He noted that <br />the Taxpayers Association was concerned with this issue and if a <br />policy could be adopted by the Selectmen for salary increases, <br />Selectman vaooaro indicated that he will refer this question <br />to Special Labor Counsel for a legal opinion. <br />Mrs. Greelish noted that an article appears on the Town <br />Meeting Warrant for the purpose of funding benefits for new <br />school employee's, The Business Manager and Assistant Principal <br />are not listed on the warrant indicated Mrs. Greelish. <br />The above will be reviewed by the Board under old Business. <br />0 <br />
