BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page MINUTES MCND, SEP 1 EMBER 27r.1993 : 2 p.m. Leisure Services Director re: Reorganization Plan: Gus Frederick was present to discuss the reorganization of the Leisure Services Department with the Board. Mr, Frederick indicated that -the Leisure Services Advisory council i supportive of the reorganization proposal. The proposed reorganization includes the support of a full time Administrative Secretary and a full time Program Supervisor indicated Mr. Frederic]* An Educational Administrative Clerk is proposed to remain funded fifteen hours per week. The additional staff is necessary to support the program and expand the realm of the Leisure services Department to include Hunan Service Programs indicated Mr. Frederick, e plan to develop a coordination of regional service Human Service indicated Mr. Frederick. He has estimated approximately of the Leisure services Department as educational recreational programs. The remaining % to be allocated for Human Services to develop and coordinate referrals. **It is the consensus of the Board to obtain a definitive summary from Mr, Frederick as to the proposed direction of the full time Administrative Secretary as it relates to the Human Service aspect of the department. *The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to advertise for the position of full time Program supervisor as recommended. The motion was seconded by Selectman Costa, VOTE: Unanimous. 5- . Leisure Services Director re: Appointment of Adyisor Council Member Communication was received from Maureen Paxton of the Leisure service Advisory Board relative to a vacancy existing on the committee as a result of a members non-attendance* ***The motion was made by selectman Caf yn to declare a vacancy in the Leisure service Advisory Council as recommended and advertise to fill the vacancy in the Leisure service Advisory Council. The motion was seconded by selectman Mills. VOTE: Unanimous. - . :15 p,m, PUBLIC DISCUSSION: r. Polsi asked if the selectmen can set policy relative to salary increases over proposition 2 . selectman Vaccaro indicated that the Board is awaiting response from Town Counsel relative to this concern.
