BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br />MINUTES <br />MCND, SEP 1 EMBER 27r.1993 <br />: 2 p.m. Leisure Services Director re: Reorganization Plan: <br />Gus Frederick was present to discuss the reorganization of <br />the Leisure Services Department with the Board. Mr, Frederick <br />indicated that -the Leisure Services Advisory council i <br />supportive of the reorganization proposal. <br />The proposed reorganization includes the support of a full <br />time Administrative Secretary and a full time Program Supervisor <br />indicated Mr. Frederic]* An Educational Administrative Clerk is <br />proposed to remain funded fifteen hours per week. <br />The additional staff is necessary to support the program and <br />expand the realm of the Leisure services Department to include <br />Hunan Service Programs indicated Mr. Frederick, <br />e plan to develop a coordination of regional service Human <br />Service indicated Mr. Frederick. He has estimated approximately <br />of the Leisure services Department as <br />educational recreational programs. The remaining % to be <br />allocated for Human Services to develop and coordinate referrals. <br />**It is the consensus of the Board to obtain a definitive <br />summary from Mr, Frederick as to the proposed direction of the <br />full time Administrative Secretary as it relates to the Human <br />Service aspect of the department. <br />*The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to advertise for <br />the position of full time Program supervisor as recommended. The <br />motion was seconded by Selectman Costa, VOTE: Unanimous. 5- . <br />Leisure Services Director re: Appointment of Adyisor <br />Council Member <br />Communication was received from Maureen Paxton of the <br />Leisure service Advisory Board relative to a vacancy existing on <br />the committee as a result of a members non-attendance* <br />***The motion was made by selectman Caf yn to declare a vacancy <br />in the Leisure service Advisory Council as recommended and <br />advertise to fill the vacancy in the Leisure service Advisory <br />Council. The motion was seconded by selectman Mills. VOTE: <br />Unanimous. - . <br />:15 p,m, PUBLIC DISCUSSION: <br />r. Polsi asked if the selectmen can set policy relative to <br />salary increases over proposition 2 . selectman Vaccaro <br />indicated that the Board is awaiting response from Town Counsel <br />relative to this concern. <br />
