BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 2 MINUTES r MONDA , i B 2 , 1993 COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: ,Letter of Recognition from Attorney JonathanSeder: The Board rece ived. a letter of recognition from Attorney Jonathan Seder relative to the prompt and courteous service as received from clerk, Clare Maybury. *It is the consensus of the Board to send M. Maybury a Letter of appreciation on behalf -of the Board of Selectmen. The letter of recognition and appreciation will -be retained in the employee's personnel file. Communication from Joel Lerner re; Lease of Cranberry B Correspondence was received from Joel Lerner, Director of the Division of Conservation Services dated October 18, 1993 relative to an anonymous letter received concerning the lease of the cranberry bogs adjacent to Yin's and Moody Ponds. The complaint alleges the lease may have been awarded without the Conservation Commission, Town Meeting and Legislature's votes of concurrence, Mr. Whri enour indicated that he has scheduled a meeting with Mr, Lerner and Representative Tory Cahir on Friday, -November , 1993 at p.m. Robert Sherman -will also be present to tour the cranberry bogs and discuss specific issues of concern. Communication from the Seconsett Island Association: Correspondence was received from the Seconsett Island Association dated October 1, 13 relative to the Town's support o resolve the speeding and parking problems on the causeway at the entrance of Seconsett Island. Selectman Vaccaro recommended to refer the recommendation to the Chief of Police and Director of Public Works to resolve the public safety issues of concern with the Seconsett Island Association Steering Committees Mr. Wbritenour is authorized o submit communication to the Seconsett Island Steering Committee of the Selectmen's intent to resolve area concerns with the aid of the Police Chief and Director of Public Works. 0
