BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 2 <br />MINUTES <br />r <br />MONDA , i B 2 , 1993 <br />COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br />,Letter of Recognition from Attorney JonathanSeder: <br />The Board rece ived. a letter of recognition from Attorney <br />Jonathan Seder relative to the prompt and courteous service as <br />received from clerk, Clare Maybury. <br />*It is the consensus of the Board to send M. Maybury a <br />Letter of appreciation on behalf -of the Board of Selectmen. The <br />letter of recognition and appreciation will -be retained in the <br />employee's personnel file. <br />Communication from Joel Lerner re; Lease of Cranberry B <br />Correspondence was received from Joel Lerner, Director of <br />the Division of Conservation Services dated October 18, 1993 <br />relative to an anonymous letter received concerning the lease of <br />the cranberry bogs adjacent to Yin's and Moody Ponds. <br />The complaint alleges the lease may have been awarded <br />without the Conservation Commission, Town Meeting and <br />Legislature's votes of concurrence, <br />Mr. Whri enour indicated that he has scheduled a meeting <br />with Mr, Lerner and Representative Tory Cahir on Friday, -November <br />, 1993 at p.m. Robert Sherman -will also be present to tour <br />the cranberry bogs and discuss specific issues of concern. <br />Communication from the Seconsett Island Association: <br />Correspondence was received from the Seconsett Island <br />Association dated October 1, 13 relative to the Town's support <br />o resolve the speeding and parking problems on the causeway at <br />the entrance of Seconsett Island. <br />Selectman Vaccaro recommended to refer the recommendation to <br />the Chief of Police and Director of Public Works to resolve the <br />public safety issues of concern with the Seconsett Island <br />Association Steering Committees <br />Mr. Wbritenour is authorized o submit communication to the <br />Seconsett Island Steering Committee of the Selectmen's intent to <br />resolve area concerns with the aid of the Police Chief and <br />Director of Public Works. <br />0 <br />
