TTS CF THE MASHPEE PERSONNEL BOARD TMEETING <br /> March 12, 1979 <br /> This meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Wilma Graham, Acting <br /> Chai an,, Present were: Peter Langler, Kenneth Parol ski and Joan Muse. <br /> The minutes of both February 26, 1979 and March 5, 1979, were accepted <br /> as read. <br /> Proper departments were notified of theBoard's approval to waive the <br /> six month probationary period for Firefighter, David Dottridge and also <br /> moving g hien to step two of the Permanent firefighterb present contract <br /> salary schedule, on July 1, 1979. <br /> 4 <br /> Proper departments were also notified 6f the appointment of Barbara Russel. <br /> as Assistant Tose Accountant. <br /> a a6a-�1 <br /> Peters asked to speak to the Board r' <br /> p oar briefly regarding a problem with <br /> his physical.. The members suggested he seek a physical exam from another <br /> doctor, <br /> memo was sent to the Board of Selectmen regarding the hiring of lifeguards <br /> for this summer, wanting to know what procedure to follow seeing that we are <br /> without a Park and Recreation Director,, <br /> The Board of Selectmen were notified that the Personnel Board would be sub- <br /> mitting the article to support a 7% cost-of-living raise for the part--time/ <br /> full-tame employees that cone under the SAP, <br /> The Board. of selectmen were notified of our oversight in regards to the <br /> Annual Report and our forwarding it to their office a . soon as possible. <br /> tephon oa11 was made to set up a meeting with the Police Association <br /> for the purpose of Collective Bargaining. The meeting was set for the <br /> Personnel Board's regular meeting on Monday,r, March 19, 1979 at 8 P.m. <br /> follow up letter was sent to Edgar Burroughs, <br /> Joseph Reardon, Town Counsel, was contacted as to this meeting. He will <br /> e present at the meeting. <br /> A letter was sent to David J. O'Connor, Cheif of Police, - infor .ing him <br /> that the Personnel Board voted- to approve his request for new shifts <br /> to be established within the police department. <br /> In answer to a telephone call of March 6, 1979 from Chief O'Connor, a <br /> letter was seat stating the Personnel Board also voted to approve his <br /> request to waive physicals for the Special. Police and that a Certificate <br /> of Fitness from their physician would surfice. <br />
