MINUTES F THE MkSHPEE PERSONNEL BOARD MEETING <br /> MARCH 267 1979 <br /> This meeting was called to order by Wilma Graham, Acting Chairman at 7:30 p.m. <br /> Members Kenneth Parolski, John Peters, .Jr. , and peter Langl.er were present. <br /> Also present were Joan Muse and Greg Willis, Fire Chief for a 7:30 p.m. meeting. <br /> The purpose of the meeting with Chief Willis and Joan was to ask the Personnel <br /> Board to support him when submitting an article for three 3 additional positions <br /> for his department. def Willis feels it necessary that the department have <br /> Deputy Fire Chief and adequate staffing of his department would require a request <br /> for two additional firefighters. Peter Langler made a motion to support Chief <br /> Willis .in his request. The Board voted unanimously to do so. <br /> At 8:00 p.m. a "collective bargaining" meeting was held with the Police Employees <br /> Association and Town Councel, Joseph Reardon and Attorney John wel ,- <br /> At the conclusion of the above meeting, the Personnel Board carried on a regular <br /> business meeting. <br /> The minutes of the March 12, 3979 meeting were accepted as read. There were <br /> no nimutes for the March 19, 1979 meeting due to a lack of quorum. <br /> The Board read and approved the report of the Personnel Board for the Town <br /> Report. It was submitted to the Board f Selectmen* <br /> memo was seat to Joan Muse, ' own Accountant, atating the Personnel hoard <br /> was in the process of reviewing the SAP and would get back to hErras soon as <br /> possible and expected to have it completed pri <br /> ror to .July 1, 1979, <br /> A memo was received from the Boyd of Selectmen asking if we were submitting <br /> an article in the Special. Town Meeting requesting funds to corer employee <br /> physicals given by Br. Ravin. A letter of reply was seat stating we would <br /> submit such ars article and would work out the figure with Joan Muse. <br /> Also regarding employee physicals the Board of Selectmen sent a memo <br /> recommending that the personnel Board reconsider their decision to Mold <br /> on completing the physical and wi hed that we urge all to make appointments <br /> and have physicals completed as soon as possible, <br /> memo was seat to the Department Leads ire-Police-Highway asking that <br /> they disregard the prior memo on holding employee physical.s and that they <br /> see to it that all in their departments rake appointments and follow through., <br /> letter regarding the above actions was sent to Dr. Ravin thanking her for <br /> her patience and understanding. <br /> A memo was seat to Police Chief O'Connor with the information he requested <br /> regarding the Position of Clerk/Dispatcher.patcher. The position is a Grade 6, <br /> Step 1 with a weekly wage of $148.59 and computed for a forty-four week <br /> period woes out at $6,537.96. <br />
