C le ndeni n, M o C,; Cuthbert, Mrs Js Malone <br /> 1* The Personnel Board-.,Agreed along with the Chief of Police that all <br /> applications for Police officers should go through procedures as usual <br /> as for any other department as well as an ad in the -newspaper# <br /> The applicants are then interviewed, screened and recommended to the <br /> chief for his choice. <br /> Lawrence Frye and Es Burroughs were interviewed by the Personnel Bow& <br /> The other applications received for the opening were turned over tothe <br /> Personnel Board so as to set appointments for interviews. <br /> The ad will be for a temporary fall time o hour week) as a questiion <br /> to become a permanent position- in the near future. The salary to begin <br /> at $7,200s 'per years- <br /> The Personnel. Board suggested that this position should be filled <br /> with a special police officer until the beginning of Tune and then <br /> I r. Rocheteau should be able o give~an idea of his plans, either he <br /> comes back on The police force as a permanent officer or continuesh .s <br /> schooling t which time, decision can be made of a new permanent pome <br /> sition by replacement or additions <br /> Chief suggested that the Freight of an officer should be -approlaimately <br /> 160 to max of good-weight to carry High school Driduate --w Approxe <br /> 5'8" and if not a Town resident he is to become one within six months. <br /> It was stated by the Chief that special officers Frye aiid Burro .ghs <br /> were very well qualified to be accepted a regular police* <br /> 2. The Police Chief stated that Dro Broderick DiIrio has been appoir ,ed. <br /> by the Selectmen as the Town Doctor; urn-wbu nown to the Personnel Boards <br /> Mrs Clendenin requested that Miss Kings finds the information of the <br /> Dr. DTrio's fee for the -examination he will be giving to the Town <br /> employees* <br /> 3. Letter was received, read adn set for filing, for the approval of the <br /> S.A.P. from the Board of Selectmen. <br /> letter of request for a hearing from Officer filbert Gonsalves was <br /> received. This is pertaining to the shooting incident which cause him <br /> suspension from his job for one weeks <br /> An answer was sora to him r giving him a-t-Ohoice -of three dates to have <br /> this hearings <br /> It was also requested. by the Board That the Chief send Fus a' report of <br /> the incident prior to the hearing. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 F w <br /> t P <br /> } ` <br />
