MINUTES of A PEE PERSONNEL BOARD STING <br /> JULY 16, 1979 <br /> This meeting was called,to order by Acting Chairman,, Wilma Graham <br /> at 7: p.m* Present Board members were: Thomas Boyd and David <br /> Niven. <br /> At 7:45 P*mo the Board met with the Mashpee Permanent Firefighters <br /> Association. Present for this meeting were: Association President, <br /> David Dottridge, Paul Frazier, and Richard Martini. The discussion <br /> was based on the Personnel Board's meeting with the Selectmen. <br /> The only question from the Board of 'Selectmen was that the work <br /> schedule be eliminated., There were a few areas where the wording <br /> should be changed. The Association was going to review the rough <br /> draft and be in touch with us. <br /> At 8:30 p.m. 'he Board met with repre a nta tive s of the Highway <br /> Department. Mr.. Martin Joyce, Bargaining agent, Burley Green, <br /> and George. Green Jr. The Personnel Board asked if they would bear with <br /> n waiting until the end of August to start negotiations. It <br /> was explained that we were behind because of previous negotiations <br /> and had promised to handle the SAP (Salary Administration Pian next. <br /> Both parties whet over the reg eats and feel there are no real ,proble n <br /> areas. The Personnel Board stated that all negotiations would b <br /> retroactive to July 1, 1979,w A copy of the Grievance procedure was <br /> sent to the Committee to review. This Board felt that the procedure <br /> should be the same for all Town Employees, <br /> A letter was recieved reguest ng a merit increase for Vernice Po .l a. <br /> The Board voted and approved an increase from Grade 4, Step 1 to <br /> Grade 4. Step 2., A.,,-letter stating the change: was sent to Town Accountant <br /> with a copy to the Treasurer. <br /> A letter was sent to Ptl. David T. Aich son reguest Jnr that he see <br /> Town Physician, Mary Ravin in reference to his injury on duty on <br /> June 8, 19 79. <br /> The Planning Board reguested that we advert ze for a new part time <br /> secretary for their Board t g replace Judith Sciarillov <br /> Town Councel was notified to send in writing the status of Liability <br /> coverage for the firefighters/paramedics,, <br /> Minutes were read and accepted for July 2. 1979. Where are no minutes <br /> for July 9. 1979 because of a lack of quorum. <br /> Vacations were approved for the follow .n & Vernon ' ho as(7/_17-7/20), <br /> Bradford Fish Sr. (7/24 7/27), William Chase 7/14-7/17 & 7/21,-7/25), <br /> George Green, Jro (7/23,4/27), and B.
