The Board will submit to the Finance Committee by February 1st of <br /> each year, a list of present salaries or wages for all employees , <br /> and a corresponding list of charges in status and salaries for the <br /> next fiscal year. <br /> . 'Department Leads shall subini t to the Board annually, prior t <br /> January 1st of each year, and any time upon request,,, a Performance <br /> Appraisal for employees of his Department with recommendations a <br /> to salaries for the next fiscal year. Step increases are not <br /> automatic a-nd are to be based upon an employee's performance during <br /> the prior twelve 1 month period. Step increase recommendations <br /> shall be limited to one step per year except in unusual circumstances <br /> with the expressed written approval of the Personnel. Board. An <br /> evaluati n for new employees shall be done every six months for <br /> the first two years of employment. <br /> 1 . SCOPE of THE PLAN <br /> All positions in the Town are subject to the Plan with the exception n of and <br /> excluding the following: all elected officials, those in the school <br /> Department and those covered under collective bargaining agreements. The <br /> position of Health Agent shall be appointed by the Board of Health who will <br /> recommend the salary for the position but the position, otherwise, is subject <br /> to the Plan. The position of Assistant Assessor shall, be appointed by the <br /> Baan of Assessors who will recommend the salary for the position but the <br /> position., otherwise, is subject to the Plan. Employees who work in positions <br /> requiring less than twenty (20)hours per week shall not ,receive fringe benefits <br /> under the Plan.. but thein salary or wages shall he set in accordance with the <br /> provisions of the Plan. <br />
