MINUTES OF SELBO"AMIS MEETING <br /> DATES 9 June 195 <br /> Meeting convened at 8:00 N. <br /> Mr. & Mrs. Austin Oliver from Seconssett Island cane before the Board <br /> to register complaint against r. Horace Gifford in regard t trespassing <br /> and damaging property. Mr. & Mrs. Cliver stated that they were in process <br /> 01P 0105:Lng up a private way which they had made in order to insure the <br /> i safety of them steer tenants* The pr v ledge has been abused over a <br /> period of time. The actual sight of way runs parallel to the private way <br /> belonging to the Olivers. Mr. Gifford objected to the closing of the <br /> road and attempted to interupt the proceedings by running his car into the <br /> cedar paste already placed in the ground as bounds. The incident is a civil <br /> caseP however, Mr.- Gifford was reprimanded by the Board as a Folie Officer <br /> f the town and action unbeco g an Officer. He was asked to refrain from <br /> calling state Police in on such incidents which are of no concern to the <br /> State Police but tend to r•c fieot upon the inadaquacy of the Townes law enforcement <br /> All panties concerned agreed to settle the problem by legal means* <br /> - Mr. 19yeock eat with the hoard for a short while to see if there were any <br /> mediate problems and also to be informed as to action taken by Advisory <br /> Commission on Special Town meeting &rrant of 24 May 55,P The Warrant was <br /> approved with the exception of Article #9 pertaining to Monomoscoy Rd. The <br /> approval or disapproval of this article will be held pending further <br /> investigation of road and anticipated expenditure. The board will write <br /> a letter of Justification to the commission. <br /> The Perk Commission met with mrd in regard to baseball park. . The <br /> Recreation Commission was not represented. However it was determined that <br /> the Recreation commission would be responsible for the upkeep of the Ball <br /> Park for the balance of this season. Next )tear., the cost of mowing the grass <br /> will be included in the Park Comission budget. A bili of $16.60 was <br /> submitted by Mrs Wilbur Oakley. Payment is pending approval of Reacreation <br /> Commission. Mr. S dly- stated that his account could not include the <br /> buss park maintenance inasmuch as his yearly budget did not include this <br /> expense, <br /> Fire Chief Peters was informed by Miss Peters that Otis -AFB had assumed authority <br /> ti issue Fire permits to Otis Personnel for John3s Pond. He was asked t <br /> contact Colo ozmnt at Otis to see what authority they have in doing so. JohnTs <br /> Fond is located in Mashpee. <br /> Mr. Minor Pedesen requeste appointment as member of co ttee to investigate <br /> oning Byaolaws for Town of ashp e <br /> Mr. Gordon Crowell made application for relocation and installation of <br /> 1p000 gal gas tank. All abutters are favorable. <br />
