Sturgis <br /> offered to take a set of cushions to the Auto Top Shop in Hyannis for an <br /> estimate. The account contains $250.00'. <br /> The Finance Comrnittee did not meet this past week to approve the <br /> request for $00.00 for Police compensation. <br /> Miss Peters i formed r. dicks of her meeting with Mrs. Hendricks this <br /> afternoon in regard to the note she left last week requesting the Selectmen <br /> to not make any alterations on the Welfare Payroll. Mrs. Hendricks was <br /> referring to Miss 1e e s placing I .r. 411s n's name on the psy 'oll as the <br /> Disbursing Agent under Ohapter 283. Mrs. Hendricks is not the authorized <br /> disbursing Agent and when she s igns the payroll she is doing so for Mr. <br /> Wilson and should be indicated as such. Mr. Wilson is directly responsible <br /> for the payroll. This point was cleared up at a meeting with Mrs. Rowe <br /> and Mr. Wilson earlier in the year. It was hiss Petersl request that this <br /> proceedure be followed, Mrs. Hendricks stated that she had taken it upon <br /> herself to discontinue entering Mr. Wilson' s name however she admitted <br /> that Mr. -Wilson had instructed her to set the signature block up acc rdingly. <br /> This was accomplished by Mrs. Hendricks for several pay periods and then <br /> stopped. At this point, Miss Pet r s would ender Mr. Wilson's name as <br /> the Chapter 283 Agent. Mro. Hendricks further stated that Mr. 1 ikon did <br /> not instruct her to eliminate his- name but had informed him that she <br /> was not ging to continue. According to Mrs. Hendricks, Mr. Willson was <br /> a r e .ble. Mrs. Hendricks threatened to destroy any futher payrolls which <br /> are altered in any way. when asked about proper authorization to sign <br /> a o 1 , ,she stated that Mr. Franco made the authorization. Mr. Franco <br /> f course, is no longer w i h the department. Miss Peters told Mrs. Hendricks <br /> that she would take the matter up with. Mr. Wilson and further requested <br /> 1 s. Hendricks to refrain From leaving notes addressed to the Selectmen <br /> inasmuch as the Department is dealt with through Mr. Wilson. <br /> The second shipment of Shellfish was received this week which leaves <br /> approxim telt' 40 bushels r mai irg for delivery. The planted areas have <br /> all been posted :arid closed. <br /> Miss Peters i <br />
