MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> DECISION FOR A MODIFICATION TO A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership (SP-2016-33) <br /> 3 8 Nathan Ellis Highway (Map 74 Parcel 20) <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> SP-2018-20 <br /> The Supercharges are different because they have a much faster charging period. <br /> The current stations are within the 6-8 hour time. The Supercharges charge within an hour <br /> to an hour and a half Currently the closest charging location is at the commuter lot at the <br /> Sagamore Bridge. There was one recently approved in Wareham at Wareham Crossing and <br /> will be finished this year. <br /> Tom said he is focusing on installing the new charging stations directly east of TD <br /> Bank. These charging stations need to be in close proximity to utility poles. The location <br /> has a row of 13 parking spaces of which 10 of them will have the supercharger charging <br /> station locations. The signage will indicate electric vehicle charging only. Tesla supplied <br /> the infrastructure but it is electric vehicle parking. Anyone with an electric car can park <br /> there, but only Tesla vehicles can charge their cars at that location. <br /> The Board read all Town Department comments into the record. They did not have <br /> any issues with the project. <br /> There were no abutters present. <br /> In view of the foregoing, the Board determined the Petitioner met the criteria for a <br /> Modification to a Special Permit (SP-2016-33). Upon motion duly made and seconded at <br /> the Public Hearings on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, the Zoning Board of Appeals voted <br /> unanimously to issue a Special Permit Modification with the following conditions; <br /> 1. The approved modification consists of ten (10) Superchargers and two (2) Level <br /> Two J1772 charges. <br /> 2. The Board has determined that the applicant meets all the conditions of a <br /> Modification under Mass General Law 40A Section 9. <br /> 3.
