Tragiannopoulos requesting a
modification to an approved Variance(V-10-45)to allow for an attached 12' x 16'.9"shed
at the rear of the existing garage building on property located in an R-5 Zoning District,
Map 20 Parcel 2, Mashpee, MA.
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws
Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of
general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on March 23, 2018 and March 30, 2018 a
copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the
provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §10 and the Town of Mashpee
Zoning By-laws.
Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the. Mashpee Town Hall on
Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals
were present; Chairman, Jonathan Furbush, Vice Chairman, William Blaisdell, Board
Member, Scott Goldstein, and Associate Members, Brad Pittsley and Sharon Sangeleer.
Also present was Building Commissioner, Michael Mendoza.
Mr. Tragiannopoulos represented himself for the petition. He is requesting approval
for the shed that was built without a permit. The Board determined he needed a 2.2 ft.
variance for the shed, but they could not approve something that was not permitted after
two years.
In view of the foregoing, the Board determined the Petitioner did not meet the
criteria for a Variance. Upon motion duly made and seconded at the Public Hearings on
Wednesday, April 11, 2018, the Zoning Board of Appeals were polled, and all members
voted against the petition because the shed was built two years prior without a permit.
1
