Booker and Deputv Andre Labute, and Select- <br /> men Aiken and Sweeney, <br /> The fishermen were o ectin , to a proposed closing of Popponesset <br /> Bay to dredting for scallops* <br /> The final decision was that commercial fishermen would be allow- <br /> ed to continue to d ac for scallops but at all times must be at least <br /> 50 feet from shore, thus leaving the area near the shores for the use <br /> of those holding family i:)ermits . It was suggested by Chairman Leroy <br /> I...Ir Aiken that the fishermen again meet with Selectmen after the first <br /> of the year to revise and -date present torn shellfish rerulation5 . <br /> Former Governor Volpe will be the featured speaker at a meeting <br /> at PIashpee Town Hall at 3 P-PI.
