Minutes <br /> of <br /> Selectmen' s Meeting <br /> Wednesday, July 10, 1974 <br /> All Selectmen and Town Counsel present. <br /> 1) Class 11 Car Dealers license issued to William Tannyhill <br /> d/b/a Tisits, Inc. , replacing the returned license of the: late Myron <br /> Studley. <br /> 2) Interview Jerry L. DePalma of New Hamshire for the position as <br /> Recreational Director for the Town of Mashpee . Following Mr. <br /> DePalma ' s departure, all applicants were discussdd and the Board <br /> unan:mou.sly, approved the appointment of Mr. DePalma to fill this <br /> position. <br /> Mr. DePalma will begin his duties Monday, July 22, 1974. <br /> 3) Mr. Howard Rohdin, Chairman of the Waterways met with Selectmen <br /> to discuss bylaws , rules and regulations , to govern the use of <br /> Mashpee ' s waterways. The Bnard advised Mr. Rohdin, his <br /> committee has the authority to follow thur with the necessary <br /> steps to enforce these bylaws. If however , problems arise which <br /> cannot be settled then the Board will be glad to assist. <br /> 4) William Tritt d/b/a Crow' s Nest; Drive-In Restaurant , applied <br /> to the Board for a annual B/W licnese. Permission granted for <br /> a public hearing which will be held July 24, 1974 at 7 :30 p.m. <br /> 5 Mr. and Mrs .-. :.F. ;,;Masley . approached the Selectmen concerning <br /> a problem they encounter at South Cape Beach. A charge of <br /> $2.00 is required to park on the private area, which they <br /> feel is not private . <br /> b) Mr. John Welch of Hyannis represnting Dial-A-Ride met with <br /> Selectmen to present this program which he wishes to conduct <br /> and maintain in Mashpee . With four ten passenger buses , partly <br /> subsidized by the government, he feels this service is needed and <br /> was proven when- a. suivey'lwas; taken' of 500: people who said they <br /> would use such system. <br /> Mr . Welch was advised, with Edward Pana operating a bus route <br /> and Mannuel Costa operating two taxis in this area, they could <br /> not appove such a program at this time . <br />
