Minutes of the Selectmen' s Meeting <br /> June 26, 1974 <br /> All Selectmen and Town Counsel present. <br /> 1) Interviews were' held for the position of Park and <br /> Recreatioanl Director for the Town of Mashpee . <br /> Mr. Samuel Provo of Agawam/Mr. William Richardson <br /> of East Falmouth. <br /> No response from Mr. Daniel E. Berman. <br /> Mr. Jerry L. DePalma will meet with the Selectmen <br /> July 10, 1974. (No decision. ) <br /> 2) Appointments for the Historical Commission for Jane <br /> Hendricks and Amelia Miller, terms expire in one year. <br /> 3) Mary Lopez and Louise Hunn met with Selectmen requesting <br /> permission for a 1-day B/W license for the Powwow Block <br /> Dance to be held at Attaquin Park. License granted. Also, <br /> in the event of rain permission was granted to use the <br /> Town Hall, under the conditions the _ council <br /> pays the custodian for cleaning the hall. <br /> 4) George Benway, Jr. met with Selectmen seeking advice <br /> concerning the municipal site access . <br /> 5) Letters : <br /> Historical Commission requesting recommendation <br /> for Historical District Study Committee members . <br /> Amelia Bingham, Director of the museum, .requesting <br /> names for the positions made available at the <br /> annual town meeting in May. <br /> Russell Peters, President of the Wampanoag Indian <br /> Tribal Council - name for a representative for <br /> the Otis Task Force Committee . <br /> Chief of Police to -meet with the Selectmen next <br /> Tuesday re : Proposal for gasoline. <br /> Petitioned the Marine Fisheries in Boston for a <br /> hearing to control the taking of herring. <br /> Meeting adjourned 11 :00 p.m. <br /> jt <br />
