Minutes of the. Selectmen' s Meeting Wednesday, July 31 , 1974 All Selectmen and Town Counsel present. 1) A Marine Fisherie hearing held in the office of the Selectmen, minutes attached. 2) Jerry DePalma our new Recreational Director , met with Selectmen to present a full program of activities for all groups, young and old . This program takes us well into next summer . Jerry will meet with members of the Park and Recreation Monday, to talk over these programs. Perhaps . each one will be able to take over the responsibility for a major function; leaving Jerry to oversee all programs . It is also advised for Jerry and one member from the Park and Recreation to meet with the Finance Committee , to project their needs and the right manner to' acquire the equipment needed. 3) George Green Highway Surveyor, met with Selectmen to assure them there is monies available to complete Great Neck Road. Mr. Green has written a letter to the Department of Public Works requesting any funds from Chapter 765 be used to re- construct Great Oak Road. Letter dated 7/30/74. 4) Stacey Avant Tree Warden ret with Selectmen to report. his. spraying truck, though recently being repaired, has once again broke down. . 5) Bourne Youth and Family Semites , Inc. , represented by Roger White and Larraine Wi] son (759-5656) , met with Selectmen to . inform them they are avail:alif help is needed with family counseling. ,They have -also alerted Chief Bingham and Reverend Nagel . This group is partly funded by the State (Mental Health) , and some funds are acquired from the Federal government . Highway awarded bicb for two dump-trucks to Falmouth Ford.
