J <br /> i <br /> r' <br /> Minute e Selectmen' s Meeting <br /> �v, aesday, August 7 , 1974 <br /> Town Counsel, Selectmen Peters and O'Connell present , <br /> Selectman' Frank Hicks , called out-of-town. <br /> 1 ) Claire Gillis and Deidre Greelish met with Selectmen stating <br /> what information they had gathered so far for a recycling <br /> program, It was explained Falmouth had earned $1., 578 in 1973; <br /> and for the eight months of this year, $2, 124,00 Recycling <br /> will not be an easy means of collecting monies needed to help <br /> buy equipment for the Recreation Department; it will be hard <br /> labor and many hours . <br /> The Selectmen agreed to give what support they could . <br /> 2) Mr. Richard Lamb and Dean Lawrence tet with Selectmen con- <br /> cerning an interest in the recent Article 62 voted at <br /> Annual Town Meeting which enabled Mashpee to have a Study <br /> Commitee to plan a Bicycle Trail , Mr , Lamb was advised <br /> letters will be sent out to the Planning Board , Highway, <br /> School Committee, Historical Commission, and the Park <br /> and Recreation Department, requesting them to appoint <br /> a member to this Cbmmittee , <br /> 3) Mr, Mruphy approached the Selectmen for a Commerical <br /> Shellfish License, The reponse was-no new commerical licenses <br /> were being issued at this time . <br /> 4) Approval of the Crow' s Nest for an annual B/W license , Now <br /> to the State for their approval , <br /> 5) A one day B/W License issued to the Wampanoag Rod and Gun <br /> Club for August 10, 1974, <br /> 6) A Interpartmental Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, <br /> August 28, 1974 at 8 : 30 p .m. <br /> 7) Mr,Peter Orgren met briefly with Selectmen concerning some of <br /> New Seabury "s business , <br /> Meeting adjourned at 11 ;00 p.m. <br /> jt <br />
