Minutes of the Selectmen's Meeting <br /> l <br /> Wednesday, September 4, 1974 <br /> All Secectmen and Town Counsel present. <br /> 1) Terry LeClair, Caseworker for the Cape-islands Home Care <br /> Program .met with Selectmen to. introduce herself and what <br /> the program is trying to accomplish An the Town of Mashpee, <br /> Bourne, Sandwich and Falmouth. <br /> This program- does not cordinatew:with RSVP. Home Care reaches <br /> the elderly in-- their homes if -'they need help, and will <br /> assist the elderly up to the time they are unable to care <br /> for themselves. <br /> Mfrs. LeClair is-eking contacts with theelderly from <br /> -referralsshe receives from Shirley Peters who is 'in <br /> charge of the Food Program being eonddeted<at the Baptist <br /> Church. <br /> 2) Annual B/W license issued to the Crow's Nest, William <br /> Tritt owner. <br /> 3) Request granted to Chief Bingham to purchase a new "Old <br /> Cloy" for the Town- flag pole. <br /> 4) The Highway Department, with the approval of the See�_tmen, <br /> will construct fl,�r. ) goal post fors-occeri <br /> on the outfield <br /> of Pocknett's Baseball Field. <br /> Also, 'the..3-.removal of the snow febee will be done by the <br /> Highway Department. , <br /> S) Permission granted to- the_Munici.pal -Building_ Committee to <br /> inform our Civil Defense Director,--an office will be made <br /> available to him at��thebtown.:half, when .the new municipal <br /> buildings are completed..: <br /> 6) David Heningway of Ashument Pond.. gres6nted the Selectmen <br /> with., .a .problem concerning the dirt road at the end of <br /> Ashument Pond {a portion of which is washing-out into his <br /> property within two feet of his septic system. <br /> Mr. Heningway requested the Highway Surveyor grade the road <br /> to enable the water to flow away from his, property-. - <br /> Pictures were available for the Selectmen to view. <br /> The Selectmen were in sympathy with Mr. Heningway and <br /> .assured him they would be meeting with the Highway <br /> Surveyor and would see what could be done. <br />
