Chief complains about the cleaning of the Maintenance Staff. <br /> Larry, as the crew' s supervisor, has rankled the Chief and his <br /> representatives as to the hour .of. access to .hisroffice`_for <br /> cleaning. The cleaning is slipshod and hopes this -is not :how <br /> the new facility will be kept. <br /> Note: A letter to the Chief with apologies. The Crew has been <br /> advised of the Chief' s letter. They will begin their cleaning <br /> at 8A when the Chief' s office is open. <br /> 2. Chief advises that lifeguards/civilians cannot use "849" <br /> frequency. Patrols will be expanded to include Attaquin Pond. <br /> Police will escort . lifeguard to bank but will not handle beach <br /> receipts. (Any ideas for means of communication for the <br /> lifeguard stationed at Attaquin?) M.F. , a loan of Channel #9 <br /> transmitter. <br /> 3. Fal. Selm. request a letter assisting them in their plight <br /> against the electric company telling towns they must convert <br /> street lighting to Sodium Vapor. The cost of these lights is <br /> twice as much and cast an offensive, unsuited, eery light for <br /> rural/residential areas. (Mashpee is in the process of converting, <br /> but has not accepted the company' s five-year phase program to <br /> convert all street lights in Town) . <br /> 4. Bldg. Insp. sent Tannyhill a "stop and desist" order on the <br /> out-of-door fruit/vegetable stand and signs. <br /> 5. Dept. of Army' ltr. to Cons . Coms. with an outline of training <br /> schedule . and their willingness to comply to any conditions the <br /> conservation may impose . <br /> 6 . Same subject. Ltr. from Sect'y. Bewick (Environmental Affairs) <br /> to Major Myers to insure activities are, to a maximum in <br /> consistency with CZM. <br /> 7.Barrier Beach: .Report from Enviromental Resource in the Town' s <br /> favor. 7B. DEQE ' s ltt to Camp Dresser & McKee with the geomorphic <br /> evolution of Spit' s shellfish resources of the adjacent areas. <br /> 7C. Request to ERA for the return of Hennigan' s book on re- <br /> nuourishment. <br /> 8.Pers. Board' s response to Chet' s request of employees sick leave <br /> record. <br /> 9 .Copy of ltr. sent to Robes from Dept. of Health, Education and <br /> Welfare which states the Tribal Council notified them on 1/24/9 that th, <br /> process had been complied with (A-95) . On 1/31/79 , HEW received <br /> notification fro"'ithe Office of State Planning waiving formal A-95 <br /> review of application. On 1/26/79 HEW issued. a grant award to MWTC. <br /> In the future HEW will notify this office of grant applications from <br /> Cape Cod under the Admn. for Native Americans Program, and HEW will <br /> remind ANA to submit applications to state and Area-wide Clearinghouses <br /> prior to funding actions from their office . <br />
