INCOMING CORRESPONDENCE I <br /> 1 John J. Hudson, Inc. notification of increase of on cutback <br /> asphalts. CC to Highway. <br /> 2Memo from Treasurer to all Department Heads to instruct all <br /> new employees, full/art-tire , to report to her office the <br /> first day of employment to fill out proffer forms. ommunications <br /> between some offices is not too good. <br /> CC of Council on Aging Grant application for Art Program which <br /> Chairman signed last week. Requesting $2 ,500. 00. <br /> 4 C of plan submitted with Civil Defense Ada. for funds for <br /> communications in - new facility. <br /> CC of letter from Town Counsel to George Zevitas, attorney for <br /> the Rock & Gun Club re assessment. Assessors will not go along <br /> with it being a charitable organization; however, all parties <br /> seem agreeable to the Club entering into a conservation restric- <br /> tion and this is now being worked out. <br /> PKhas determined "that the posted speed is reasonable and proper„ <br /> on Route 151. CC to Mrs. Makunas . <br /> 7 Board of Health requests that in the future , prior to the Select- <br /> men -. issuing permits such as for the Pow Wow, you notify there, <br /> so that they "may be able to make sure theme is adequate toilet <br /> facilities for said group" . <br /> Letter to James Armes from Chief of Police re incident at Paul <br /> Pennini' s residence. No formal complaint received at PD; however, <br /> Chief admonishes Jim for entering a residence under the authority <br /> of the' Warrant -- against the law. Chief recommends that in the <br /> future, Fire contact the Watch Commander for direction. (There is <br /> a letter correcting this letter, also from the Chief, stating that <br /> he was wrong. We have not received copy as yet. Jim did not <br /> enter house on Warrant; he was invited in. ) Don' t think we have <br /> heard the last of this yet. <br /> Report on Police operations and activity for the first six months <br /> of calendar year 1979. <br /> l Federal, Surface Transportation s s-i s ta.nce Act of 1978 will include <br /> funding for expanded bridge replacement and rehabilitation.
